DO I NEED TO HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA?

No, high school diploma is not a requirement.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE CNA PROGRAM?

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Unexpired Government-issued picture
  • Social security card
  • Completed criminal background check (livescan)
  • Negative TB test
  • Completed physical

WHAT ABOUT FINGERPRINT AND BACKGROUND CHECK? Will be provided with the necessary forms and performed in class at no cost to the student. Livescan fingerprint criminal background check demonstrating no DUI, misdemeanor, or felony convictions.

HOW LONG IS THE CNA PROGRAM? Our CNA program is 6 weeks long Monday-Friday which includes 60 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of supervised training.

HOW about the CPR CARD? Students will be expected to obtain an American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR for the Healthcare provider.

HOW LONG IS A CPR OR BLS CERTIFICATION VALID? A CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is typically valid for 2 years from the date you complete the course. After that, you’ll need to take a renewal or recertification class to stay
current.

WILL I BE PROVIDED A UNIFORM OR SCRUBS? Yes, we provide two (2) sets of scrubs for students to wear.

WHAT DOES CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS (CNA) DO? A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential patient care under the supervision of nurses and medical staff. They assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, while also monitoring vital signs, ensuring patient comfort, and documenting health changes.
